Dear Dharma friends,
We’re pleased to share an important milestone with our community.
Awam Chandra Kirti Ling has been officially approved and incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (Western Australia) on 6th February 2026.
This means our organisation is now formally recognised as a legal entity under WA law.
What is Awam Chandra Kirti Ling?
Awam Chandra Kirti Ling, under the guidance of Khenchen Lama Rinpoche, is a vibrant community devoted to the study and practice of authentic Buddhist teachings.
We provide opportunities to explore the Dharma through meditation retreats, philosophy classes, mindfulness training, and compassionate community service. Rooted in the living lineage of wisdom and compassion, our centre welcomes all — from newcomers to experienced practitioners — to cultivate clarity, kindness, and inner freedom.
What is the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA)?
The Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA) modernised the legal framework for non-profit organisations in Western Australia, replacing the earlier 1987 legislation. It was introduced to strengthen governance, improve financial accountability, and improve operational efficiency for community organisations.
Why this matters for Awam Chandra Kirti Ling
Incorporation under the 2015 Act provides a strong, transparent foundation for our activities. It supports ethical governance, financial responsibility, and long-term sustainability as we continue to share the Dharma and serve the wider community.
We are deeply grateful for the support of our members and community as we enter this next chapter together.
